The Work
-
Worked in a graduate school studio team to develop alternative, community-based uses for APS’ underutilized properties
-
Guided by equity goals, the studio established decision-making frameworks and initial recommendations for four properties based on APS’ stated priorities and goals. Recommendations adhered to the following objectives:
-
Prioritizing the equitable distribution of resources and opportunity
-
Addressing the intrinsic connection between student and community success
-
Fostering community engagement and buy-in for new initiatives
-
-
Conducted intake sessions with Board members, APS staff and school principals to inform recommendations for site development based on local need
